Paco Rabanne Vintage 1996 Gold Disc Rhodoid DIY Mini Dress Kit

Sale price$2,400.00

Condition: VERY GOOD

A rare and highly collectible limited re-edition of Paco Rabanne’s groundbreaking 1966 “Disc Dress,” originally introduced in his first haute couture collection “12 Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials.” This legendary design, constructed from interlinked discs and metal rings, defined the futuristic, space-age aesthetic that made Rabanne a pioneer of avant-garde fashion.

The original 1966 dress was famously photographed by Guy Bourdin on Donyale Luna for Vogue, and today remains part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent collection as well as Marie Claire’s list of “50 Dresses That Changed Fashion.”

In 1996, Paco Rabanne released this exclusive limited edition “Do It Yourself” version, allowing collectors to recreate the historic piece at home.
