Escada by Margaretha Ley vintage 1990s black wool blazer with gold elephant embroidery, a highly collectible design associated with one of Princess Diana’s most memorable off-duty appearances.

A similar black Escada elephant blazer was worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, on March 14, 1994, when she visited St. Mary’s Hospital in London to meet her newborn nephew, Louis Spencer. The look has become a favorite among royal fashion collectors: elegant, confident, slightly playful, and unmistakably early 1990s. The gold elephant embroidery at the cuffs gave the otherwise classic black blazer a distinctive Escada signature, while Diana’s styling made it feel modern, personal, and effortless.
