Christian Dior by John Galliano Spring 2008 Lilac Draped Silk Gown

Sale price$4,600.00

Condition: VERY GOOD

Christian Dior by John Galliano Spring 2008 lilac silk gown, a beautifully documented runway piece from Galliano’s romantic era at Dior.

This gown was seen on the Spring 2008 runway, modeled by Mariya Markina, and was also photographed on Natalia Vodianova by Steven Meisel for the January 2008 issue of Vogue. It was later worn by Monica Bellucci to the Women’s World Awards at Vienna Stadthalle on February 5, 2009 in Vienna, Austria, making it an especially desirable piece for collectors of documented Galliano-era Dior.

Cut in fluid lilac silk, the gown features an elongated, body-skimming silhouette with soft architectural draping across the bodice. The wide gathered straps cross beautifully through the front and back, framing the neckline while creating sculptural folds across the bust. A signature row of fabric-covered buttons runs down the side, adding a refined couture-like detail and emphasizing the graceful vertical line of the dress.

Elegant, sensual, and unmistakably Dior by Galliano, this piece captures the softness and cinematic glamour of the Spring 2008 collection.
