Rare Christian Dior by John Galliano white silk jacket from Resort 2008, famously known as the courthouse wedding jacket worn by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City: The Movie.

In the film, Carrie’s final wedding look is introduced as “a dress by no one” — a supposedly anonymous vintage find. In reality, the jacket is Christian Dior by John Galliano, designed for Dior Resort 2008. Carrie wears it in the final courthouse wedding scene, after the dramatic Vivienne Westwood gown and New York Public Library wedding are left behind. She marries Mr. Big at New York City Hall in this quiet, intimate look, paired with a pleated white skirt, yellow clutch, and royal-blue Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps.

The jacket is cut from white silk crepe and features Galliano’s signature sculptural construction: a densely gathered waist, curved peplum, narrow sleeves, and crystal-embellished buttons. A pink version of this silhouette appeared in the Resort 2008 collection, while the white version remains incredibly rare.

An exceptional collector’s piece and currently an incredibly rare find in white.
