Christian Dior by John Galliano Fall/Winter 1997 light pink wool tweed jacket dress, from Galliano’s first-ever ready-to-wear collection for Christian Dior.

Part of the legendary Fall/Winter 1997–1998 “Pin Up” collection, this piece captures an important early moment in Galliano’s Dior era — romantic, playful, sharply feminine, and filled with couture-level detail. The silhouette is cut as a double-breasted jacket with an elongated mini length, allowing it to be worn as a jacket, coat, or daring jacket dress.

Crafted in soft light pink textured wool tweed, it features a deep shawl-style neckline, fringe trim along the lapels, cuffs, pockets, and hem, and silver-tone floral buttons. The fitted waist and gently flared skirt create the exaggerated feminine shape Galliano explored throughout the collection, while the pale pink color gives the piece a sweet, pin-up inspired softness.
