Christian Dior by John Galliano 1999 J'Adore Gold Wire Choker Necklace

Sale price$2,400.00

Condition: GOOD

A striking vintage Christian Dior gold-tone choker necklace from the late 1990s, designed by Hervé Van Der Straeten for the House of Dior during John Galliano’s tenure. Featuring a sculptural, architectural design, the necklace is crafted from numerous fine strands of gold-tone metal wire, arranged in graceful curves to create a wide collar that sits elegantly around the neck.

The design is closely associated with Dior’s iconic 1999 J’Adore fragrance campaign, photographed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino and featuring Carmen Kass. Its sculptural gold silhouette reflects the bold, jewelry-inspired aesthetic of Galliano-era Dior, making it an appealing piece for collectors of archival Dior fashion and accessories.

The necklace features an adjustable chain closure with rectangular gold-tone end plates embossed with the J’Adore signature. A discreet Dior hallmark is also present on the reverse. The delicate arrangement of parallel gold wires creates a beautiful balance between architectural structure and lightness.
